Aboveground Pools
|
The aboveground pool is a more budget friendly option for getting a swimming pool. As you can see, in the slideshow, landscaping options are endless. Aboveground pools themselves are less expensive than the inground, allow for easier installation as well as the ability to maneuver landscape issues! If you are unsure if a pool is for you, this may be a great way to try it! Or, if you know you'll be moving and don't want to invest a lot, look into our styles!
As with any pool, create a wish list for yourself, contact also your local building department, so you are aware of code requirements. As the pools are 52" high, fencing is not required at this time, per NYS; however, local code does override state. In NYS, building permits are required for all swimming pool installations. Finally, if you choose for us to install your pool, we do all of our installations in house. NO SUB-CONTRACTORS AT ALL. Feel free to have us come look at your site, anytime.

FAQsHow Long Do Aboveground Pools Last?
Today's aboveground pool is not your parent's aboveground. An average life span of a steel aboveground is 22 years if cared for properly. If the liner is maintained, you may never need to change the liner. This is where the recommended maintenance comes into play. Can I bury my aboveground pool?
No, this will void your warranty immediately. Corrosion of the pool structure will occur quite quickly, if buried underground. The support structures are also not designed to support burial. If this is something you are thinking of check out our: Onground Pool Line How do I decide what size and shape pool?
-Property lines may dictate immediately what shape you can put in. -Oval pools typically cost 30-50% more than an equivalent round pool. However, if you are looking at decking around the pool, costs between the two shapes may balance out as decking along a long wall of an oval pool is cheaper than decking around a round pool (round has many more angles). -A pool must be built on virgin ground, this means, for the pool to be level, you dig down into the ground, never, build on fill. -How many people are going to use the pool at a given time? This may sound silly, but take a garden hose, outline the shape and size of your desired pool, look at it for a few days, and see if it fits your pool needs. Keep in mind, to add at least 4 extra feet to a round pool, and 6 feet to the width of an oval pool for installation. |
What other costs can I expect with my pool?
1. Installation: Have us look at your site first to prevent any unforeseen installation costs. We build within a 6" grade, so if yours is more, you may require a backhoe. 2. Filling the Pool: If you have a well, you may want to consider trucking in some of the water to fill the pool. 3. Electrical: Depending on township, you may be required to have an electrician. We recommend getting multiples estimates. 4. Building Permit: Each town has a different formula for calculating permit fees. For Building Permit information, please see our: Building Permit Page |
